The GC - Games Convention, is an annual trade fair located in Leipzig. Interactive Community, Infotainment, Hardware and Edutainment, in addition computer and video games are presented at the GC. It is the most important trade fair of its kind in Europe and had over 180,000 visitors in 2007; more than 2,600 press representatives and more than 450 exhibitors. The trade fair not only present new games, but also future developments and new publications, which draw the most interest. Although the Business-Center is visited by professionals and is for the press and the exhibitioners, the huge exhibition halls are filled with young people. The Games Convention, in the passed years have been supported by various media, especially GIGA, Eurogamers and GamesMarkt, which have helped to make the exhibition where it is today. Since the first GC there is an additional press and professional visitor's day, which is one day before the opening for the public. The GC 2008 is on the 20th to the 24th of August.
